24/7/2018 ArgentiGet ahead of the trend and choose silver this year! Paired here with a serene blue middle tier and pewter frame with a posy of our sugar flowers this wedding cake exudes the confidence of a cool couple.
24/7/2018 Shocking Magenta & Golden ElephantsAnother wedding cake design using our interpretation of Turkish Ebru Art but this time in shocking Magenta pink! Designed for a fusion summertime wedding at luxurious Cheshire wedding venue, Merrydale Manor, the elephants are handmade and gilded with 24ct edible gold leaf - a painstaking process - and the swirling ebru, overmarbling pattern is hand-painted.
20/7/2018 HeartbeatIn nature it happens all the time; beautiful things are created and admired but last only fleetingly before they are gone, and their precious temporality seems to make them even more special. By elevating the humble cake to a piece of art that exists only briefly on your one special day when you see it for the first time, smell it’s sweetness and then anticipate it’s inevitable destruction when you can take it and taste it adds to it's personal significance because you know it was created just for you.
19/7/2018 Timeless GlamourOur bespoke design service means that we can celebrate your individuality and create something completely unique. For a wedding at Cheshire's Peckforton castle, the classic elegance of this all white wedding cake design was inspired in part by the bride's beautiful Pronovias wedding dress reflected in the cascading floral appliques.
19/7/2018 LifetimeIt's important for any cake designer to develop a unique style. This wedding cake, made for a real wedding at Knowsley Hall near Liverpool, typifies The Frostery style in 2018, with a traditional, decorative, handpiped border design and personal monogram, combined with realistic sugar flowers. It's a classic look that works just as well on a chic 3-tier cake as it does on a dramatic 6-tier statement cake.
19/7/2018 Midsummer MarsalaWhilst the garden is full of rich colour, weddings in mid-summer have a tendancy towards lighter colours but given the right venue a seductive colour palette such as is on this wedding cake at Dorfold Hall in Cheshire can be dramatic and inviting without being heavy. With the sun shining, the contrast with the bright marquee screams celebration.
18/7/2018 Ceilings and StarflowersHandmade Scabiosa Pods (or starflowers) add texture to the sugar flower arrangements. They have a ball-shaped head and their colour and structure contrast with the soft sugar roses and other flowers. The architectural pods pair beautifully with the borders on this wedding cake which were inspired by the ornamental ceilings at the historic Cheshire wedding venue.
18/4/2018 Wedding cake reinventedThis cake celebrates the heritage of cake decorating. Needing a high level of skill, traditional wedding cakes often featured lattice baskets and royal-iced, hand-piped scrolls but these techniques are in danger of being forgotten. On this wedding cake we have combined these traditional techniques with with the straight edges of contemporary design and beautiful sugar flowers to create a unique modern classic. 16/4/2018 EfflorescenceWith it's sweet pale pink roses and delicate lace detail this wedding cake design exudes happiness and grace.
15/4/2018 Something old, something newA combination of traditional royal-iced, hand-piped scrolls with razor-sharp, straight-edged contemporary cakes, a hand-piped monogram from the couple's wedding stationary and sugar flowers matching the theme of the wedding day at Eaves Hall in Lancashire, meant this five tiered bespoke cake was a winning combination of old and new.
26/3/2018 EbruFor centuries, Ebru was an art form found only inside the covers of books. The basic technique of this traditional Turkish art form is to float paints on the surface of water where they can be manipulated into designs and then transferred to a sheet of paper. Here the effect is recreated using an entirely different method and combined with a sugar succulent to complement a botanical wedding theme.
25/3/2018 Blushing BrideSugar roses, peonies, ranunculus and hydrangea are tied together with ivy, eucalyptus and berries to form the pretty floral corsage adorning this blushing wedding cake.
24/3/2018 Nature inspiredThe natural feel to this wedding cake is achieved by combining fresh iridescent green ruffles and our signature watercolour style with a spontaneous sugar floral arrangement.
23/3/2018 Enchanted gardenThe romance of an walking into an enchanted garden tangled with natural flowers and foliage and discovering you and your lover's initials carved on a ancient tree.

22/3/2018 Tropical birdsThe tropical birds wedding cake was one of our early designs and has become a firm favourite with its gorgeous colours of hot paradise pink and cool blue with a gold sugar base. Based on our original design, this version for a wedding at Thornton Manor in Merseyside retains the hand-painted sugar birds, but has a bouquet of pink sugar flowers on top rather than the handmade sugar birds of the original.
21/3/2018 BalanceA commanding asymmetric centrepiece in a classic combination of powder pink and navy blue. A taller marbled middle tier stands above a contrasting, luxurious silver mirrored section.
20/3/2018 Autumn GoldDesigned for a photoshoot at the magnificent Dorfold Hall in Cheshire, the hand-piping on this cake was inspired by the ornate plaster ceilings at Dorfold Hall and the plaque in the rococo gold frame took the fashion for marbled cakes a step further and using edible paper we created a look of part polished, part rough, pink granite. The sugar decoration included autumnal pumpkins and acorns - these could be omitted if a different seasonal feel is required. You can see more pictures and read more about the shoot on our blog. 20/12/2017 A touch of ChristmasThe hand-piped royal icing scrolls seem to fit perfectly on this Christmas themed wedding cake, resplendent with hand-piped decoration including a monogram painted in gold, a gold leaf reveal and beautiful deep red sugar flowers, gold berries and pine cones.
14/10/2017 Sumptuous succulentsSubtle marbling and smart silver sugar ribbon detail topped with a cluster of handmade sugar succulents and white pumpkins.
8/9/2017 Duncombe laceInspired by the bride's beautiful dress, the heavy lace design is raised to reveal the luxurious gilding beneath.
